Beecan is here to coordinate events among your friends and help find events with people that interest you.

Your Beecan Buddies can send you event invitations (which will alert you) and anybody can open an event to you (that you search for). You can sort and filter events to view on a map or an ordered list. Look closer at interesting events to see who else RSVP’d, what other Invitees posted in the event stream, get directions to the event and view the Host’s other events. If you want to attend, you decide who can see your RSVP and your check in. Once you’re checked in to an event, you can see other Attendees profiles and see what previous events you have in common. If you allow it others viewing your profile can check out what you’ve been up to.

Hosting your own events is a simple two step process. First set the event properties: title, category, start time, duration, location. Optionally, you can add multiple locations and a custom background image. Second you choose which friends to send invitations and which people to open invitations to. You can also text invitation links to your iPhone contacts who don’t have Beecan installed. At any point you can change your location to the event location, making you the Event Beecan ;-)

When you login using Facebook, Beecan creates a “Buddy” connection with your FB friends and you can add and remove Buddies with the press of a button.

In Beecan’s messaging system you can send combinations of text, picture, read receipt and messages with expiration timers. You can mark messages as read and cycle through unread messages right on the conversation overview screen.
